Naughty Knickers Night!

Naughty Knickers Night!

Music. Booze. Comedy. Knickers. What else could you ask for on a Sunday night?

On August 14, the cast will take part in a completely different show than what they’ve been putting on — Naughty Knickers Night. Kate Eldridge, who’s spearheading the event, explains what you can expect:

“The first half of the show is a cabaret, with group numbers and solos showcasing the cast’s talent. The second half is traditionally a spoof on the regular show, however, this year we’ve twisted things around a bit, but exactly what we’ve done is a surprise, for you and us.”

Saucy surprises, check. Proven to be a fantastic show? Check. Erik Mortimer, who did the cabaret back in 2009, remembers his variety show in an awesome light.

“Our cast packed the Miners Hall. That moment is one of the best feelings I’ve ever had as a performer.”

Are they expecting the same this year? Matthew Johnson think so.

“We’re planning to max out the capacity of the Hall. It’s going to be a blast.”

Want to witness the fun? You can purchase tickets for $10 in advance at Rossland Pro Hardware and at the Miners Hall, or $12 at the door.

What do you think an actor’s favourite part of the Follies is? For Emily Nadeau, it’s what she describes as a “total, typical, dancer answer.

“The Can Can.  It’s my opportunity to enjoy being a girl and the thing I love to do most — dance! It benefits my character too because it’s at the end of the show and I feel like by this point, after having spent some time as Donnie, Dot has really come out of her shell.”

So if the Can Can is her most enjoyable part of the show, what’s her favourite part of dancing?

“Kicks, so, I really am in my glory in that moment.”
