Jill Amantea is a Rossland local and is a recent graduate of Rossland Secondary School. She started her dance training at the early age of three, and has been studying under Renee Salsiccioli at Kootenay DanceWorks for the past six years. Jill performs regularly in local events and competes in multiple festivals around BC. She has attended classes at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and Alberta Ballet, and in 2010 attended a four week dance workshop in Salzburg, Austria. This past year, Jill was selected to represent the Kootenay area for modern dance at BC’s Provincial Festival of the Arts. She has also been taking voice lessons under Audrey Bissett for the last year. Next fall she will be enrolling in a post secondary dance program either in Winnipeg or Toronto. This is Jill’s second summer with the Follies and she is looking forward to performing on the Follies stage once again.
