Drew Chale was born and raised in Kimberley, BC’s Rocky Mountains. In the spring of 2009 he successfully completed Grant MacEwan University’s Theatre Arts program with distinctions in Edmonton, AB. Drew has since performed, stage managed, written and composed for theatre companies such as Kimberley Summer Theatre, and The Gold Fever Follies within BC’s Kootenay Region and its vibrant Musical Theatre Scene. This is Drew’s third season as our Follies’ music writer.
Drew played lead guitar in the band “Subliminal Existence” and has fronted Zach Warner’s iSTARS band. He is currently living in Toronto, Ontario, producing film and music with SavageArts Entertainment. Other credits include performances in the WHO’s Rock Opera Tommy with the UCFollies at Heart House Theatre, and the character David in the original musical from Kokus Company called Kulanu at Toronto’s Cameron House for which he contributed two original songs. Aside from acting and music, Drew recently choreographed a lyrical dance as well as a hiphop scene that was featured in Toronto’s Hidden Talent semi finals.
