About the Follies 2025

The Gold Fever Follies offers a new family-friendly musical comedy every summer with cancan dancing, original music and exciting characters based on Rossland’s gold rush days of the late 1890s.
Runs July & August, 3pm and 7:30pm shows Tues. thru Sat. (No matinee on July 1.)

In the booming city of Rossland, BC, where the gold was plentiful and the women were…not so much, Yours Truly takes a humorous spin on the wave of fraud and forgery that followed the rise of matrimonial advertisements in the late 1800s and early 1900s, when lonely hearts took to the papers to find their perfect match.

Inspired by true events, this musical follows Nellie Lake, an English woman who left everything behind to journey across the ocean and marry a man she corresponded with through letters. After arriving in Rossland, she was met with the shocking reality that her supposed fiancé was nowhere to be found…

With letters flying, secrets unfolding, romance brewing, and a detective hot on the case, Yours Truly is sure to keep you laughing… and perhaps falling in love.
