Currently studying classical voice under soprano Bethany Hörst at the University of Western Ontario, soprano Lauren Halász is quickly advancing as a young artist.
Halász holds a Grade 8 RCM certification in voice and a Grade 6 RCM certification in piano. She has sung in several competitions including The Kiwanis Music Festival, ORMTA Ottawa Zone Competition and the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
Halász’s previous study in drama and dance training contribute to her strong stage presence. She has received training from Ottawa’s intensive swing dancing school, Swing Dynamite, and from The Stratford Shakespeare School’s summer programs.
